Baseball's ballparks, more than any other sports edifice, occupy an exalted position in almost every city that has a team. Unlike football stadiums and arenas for basketball and hockey, every baseball field is different. They can be subtle (outfield dimensions) or over-the-top, such as Fenway Park's Green Monster or Wrigley Field's ivy-covered walls). And they're in use for 81 games per year, not including playoffs.
