Perhaps no team owner had as much of a 180-degree turn in public perception as George Steinbrenner, a complex figure who died July 13, 2010 of a heart attack at age 80. He was always "King George" and "The Boss," but he went from a form of dictator during his early days as owner to a man who let his sizable warchest of money do the talking with four titles in five seasons from 1996 to 2000. His Yankees teams won seven championships and 11 pennants, and his TV dealings changed the business of the game forever. Should he be enshrined in Cooperstown?
