From the article: Top 10 First Basemen in Major League Baseball history
First base has always been a power spot, with just a couple of exceptions. The greatest first basemen are a collection of the greatest hitters in history, with eight of the 10 in the Hall of Fame, and the other two almost certain to be in Cooperstown at some point in the 21st century. Baseball guide Scott Kendrick believes Lou Gehrig is the greatest first baseman ever, followed by Jimmie Foxx, Eddie Murray and Albert Pujols? Who do you think is the best? You Make The Call
Top 10
- 10. George Sisler; 9. Cecil Cooper; 8.Albert Pujols; 7. Mark McGwire; 6. Jimmie Foxx; 5. Carlos Delgado; 4. Frank Thomas; 3. Eddie Murray; 2. Ryan Howard; 1. Lou Gehrig

Almost Good Enough
- Agree with Pujols and by the time he's done he will be even higher on that list. As far as people who should have been on that list, I can easily think of one: Stan "the Man" Musial. (Note from editor: Musial played more games in the outfield in his career - he's the No. 2 left fielder. http://baseball.about.com/od/majorleaguehistory/tp/bestLFs.htm)

Not Top 10!?!?!!?
- Obviously somebody was sleep at the wheel! I'm not old enough to argue about most of these guys, but Thomas is for sure better than Thome don't let accumulation and longevityout distance the "eye test." Editor's note: Thomas played more games at designated hitter, therefore he's not eligible for this list. There will be a top-five designated hitter's list in the future.

#44
- Willie "Stretch" McCovey, Eddie Murray, Orlando Cepeda, Lou Gehrig, Jimmie Foxx, Albert Pujols, of course, but he is still active. Hey! Pete Rose was no joke at first. He played first base as if he been playing that position all his life. (Note from guide: Rose wasn't eligible for this list - he played more games in the outfield.)

Albert Pujols
- Albert is by far the best ever, and for what he has brought to the fans and the city of St. Louis, management should be run out of town if they don't sign him! Fans are liable to burn the city!
