- Played and graduated from the University of Oklahoma, where he hit .379 with 37 stolen bases in 54 games in 2003.
- Was drafted in the seventh round of the 2003 draft by the Angels.
- Stole 44 bases at Single-A Rancho Cucamonga in 2004 and 40 bases at Double-A Arkansas in 2005.
- Hit .327 with 31 stolen bases in 97 games at Triple-A Salt Lake in 2006, splitting time with the major-league club.
