Before The Bigs:
- Was projected as a top-five draft pick as senior at Williamsport (Md.) High School but injured his elbow two weeks before the 2004 draft and had Tommy John ligament transplant surgery that June.
- Selected in the 14th round by the Angels (413th overall) and became a top prospect. Went 10-2 with a 1.95 ERA in 2006 at Single-A Cedar Rapids, then 10-8 in 2007 at Double-A Arkansas.
- With a mid-90s fastball, he was rated the best prospect in the Angels organization heading into the 2009 season.
Career Highlights:
- Picked up his first and only career victory on May 12, 2008 against the Chicago White Sox in his third career start before he was sent back to the minors.
- Earned a place in the Angels' rotation in 2009 and made a start on April 8, shutting out the Oakland A's in six innings. He did not receive a decision.
- Following the game, he was a passenger in a car and was killed in a collision in Fullerton, Calif. The driver of the van that hit Adenhart's car, 22-year-old Andrew Thomas Gallo, was arrested and charged with booked on charges of felony hit and run, felony driving under the influence and vehicular manslaughter.
