The Bunting Stance

Step into the batter's box as normal (you might want to creep up toward the middle or front of the box, but don't give away your intentions or you might tip off the defense). Take your normal stance as if you're going to hit away.

When the pitcher releases the ball, pivot your body toward the pitcher. You can move your back leg toward the plate, but make sure your feet are still in the batter's box – if your feet go outside the box before you make contact, you could be called out automatically.
