Vero Beach Devil Rays

The Vero Beach (Fla.) Devil Rays are a Class A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Devil Rays and play in the East Division of the Florida State League with the Brevard County Manatees, Daytona Cubs, Jupiter Hammerheads, Palm Beach Cardinals and St. Lucie Mets.

    History:

    The franchise was founded in 1980 as the Vero Beach Dodgers, a Class A Florida State League affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers. The team changed affiliations in 2007 to the Devil Rays and the team was renamed. The team is scheduled to move to Port Charlotte, Fla., in 2009.
