Why he should be: In 2006, he hit .313 with 35 home runs and 113 RBI, a culmination of a three-year run in which he batted .291 with norms of 35 homers and 110 RBI. Even after a so-so 2007 season, Konerko has hit at least 31 home runs and driven in 90 runs in four consecutive seasons.
