Cy Young Awards

Most Valuable Player Awards
- American League: Dustin Pedroia, Red Sox: Pedroia, who led the AL in runs, hits and doubles, is the first second baseman to win the award since 1959.
- National League: Albert Pujols, Cardinals: The St. Louis slugger, who has finished in the top four in MVP voting in seven of his eight big-league seasons, wins the award for the second time.
