Notes

  • Lincecum is the second Giants pitcher in the 53-season history of the award to win. The other was left-hander Mike McCormick in 1967.
  • Webb, the 2006 winner, was the runner-up for the second consecutive season.
  • Lincecum, 24, is the youngest NL winner since Dwight Gooden won in 1985 when pitching for the New York Mets.
