For the fifth season, About.com Baseball is back with its comprehensive fantasy baseball rankings. We're continuing with the spot that's perhaps the deepest as far as big offense goes, first base.

It has producing veterans and some promising youngsters all the way down into the teens in the rankings. And there are a couple of players in the mix who can help you at multiple positions, such as Mike Napoli of the Red Sox, who might have catcher eligibility in your league. Allen Craig and Mark Trumbo might be outfielders as well.

Albert Pujols has been the No. 1 choice at this spot for almost a decade now, but Joey Votto might be ready to challenge for that distinction.

The top five:

  1. Joey Votto, Reds
  2. Albert Pujols, Angels
  3. Prince Fielder, Tigers
  4. Edwin Encarnacion, Blue Jays
  5. Adrian Gonzalez, Dodgers

Here's a look at the top 20 first basemen, plus five more, divided into five tiers.
